CH starts nationals with a loss to Woodlands Ring
July 30, 2008
29 Jul 08 (Tue), Singapore Basketball Centre – Sometimes it’s hard to get out of a rut.
Catholic High left themselves a deep hole to climb out of when they succumbed 33-54 to Woodlands Ring in a first round national inter-school C Division match.
Woodlands Ring used a 29-13 second half blitz to pull away decisively after a close first half.
The only positive that the team can take away from the match is healthy bodies for the crucial next two matches. There is still a chance, although a slim one, that the team can still qualify. All is not lost.
They would have to improve greatly in their performance as a team though, and do it urgently.

It turned out to be a no-contest.
