The Secondary twos had a great opportunity of playing minutes in the final friendly match of the sports tour.

Chung Hwa Telecom Hostel, Taipei, Wednesday, 26 Nov, 2008 – We lost our second consecutive friendly match against a local junior high school. Although this may only be a friendly match, both teams were dead serious in every play. Having three players of our main five injured, our coach decided to fill in the secondary 2 players for experience, hoping for them to perform well.

Our morning training at the spanking new indoor basketball court.

Taipei, Tuesday, 25 Nov, 2008 – It was a great 7 hours sleep before we went for our breakfast this morning at the Chung Hwa Telecoms Hostel in Taipei. After that, we conducted a basketball training session for three hours in an indoor basketball court located within the premises.

When we got onto the court for the first time, we were shocked by the cleanliness of the court. There was hardly a speck of dust and the floor was so shiny, it reflected the morning sunlight off it. The training session was fruitful as we practiced our fundamental lay up, shooting and rebounding skills. We also prepared for the friendly match against Neng Ren Senior High School in the afternoon.

Taipei, Tuesday, 25 Nov, 2008 – Neng Ren Jia Shang (Senior High School equivalent) showed why they are contenders for this season’s Taiwan Senior High School Championships with an outstanding display of speed and accuracy during a friendly match with Catholic High.

Although the score read 103-46 in Neng Ren’s favour after the match, it was hardly a humiliation as Neng Ren’s superior class was evident even during their warm up for the match. Their high flying dunks and excellent team discipline caused the CH team to just admire in awe.
