CH beats SAS for second ACSIS U14 win

Singapore American School, Wednesday, 16 Dec 2009 – It was a great improvement.

We got into the groove early, as Yang Ming and Jerald Lim combined for 10 points and blitzed SAS 12-4 for a 1st quarter lead. Singapore American School eventually found a way to stop our offence and coupled with some hot shooting, our less favoured defence of man to man began to show some cracks, allowing them drive ins and free throws.

Overseas Family School, Monday, 7 Dec, 2009 -- Overseas Family School had an opportunity to send the game in extra time, but OFS centre Gustav made only one of two free throws to give the win to Catholic High.

Singapore Basketball Centre, Thursday, 3 Dec, 2009 -- Inexperience cost the Catholic High team dear as they fell 49-58 to the experienced Siglap Youth team in the final second round group match.

Trailing by just three points in final twenty two seconds of the final quarter, Catholic High turned the ball over three times to gift their opponent a nine point victory instead.

Singapore Basketball Centre, Tue, 1 Dec, 2009 – Catholic High displayed contrasting forms in back to back games in the Milo Cup.

From turning the ball over numerous times in a poor ball handling display, Catholic High ran successful fastbreaks and post plays to bounce back with a 55-37 win over Jurong Sec.
