Catholic High B Div garners fourth in South Zone

CCAB – After defeats in the semi final and 3rd and 4th placing to Gan Eng Seng and Pei Cai Sec respectively, Catholic High gets the fourth position in South Zone.

Catholic High downed by Raffles in final south zone second round group game

CCAB, Fri, 18 Feb, 2011 – It was a largely academic match as both teams had qualified for the semi final, yet it was still a matter of pride for both teams.

In the end, Raffles Institution prevailed with a more aggressive defense and points off turnovers, coupled with good 3-points shooting from their guards.

Catholic High beat Kent Ridge to qualify for south zone B division semi final

CCAB, Wed, 16 Feb, 2011 – Catholic High overcame a nervous start to the game to beat Kent Ridge Sec 60-33.

With the win and Raffles’ win over Queensway Sec, both teams have qualified for the semi final without having played their final group game against each other.

Singapore American School, Sat, 12 Feb, 2011 – Catholic High School used a 16-8 fourth quarter run to pip Singapore American School 49-48 in a thrilling match.

Catholic High trailed by as many as 8 points in the second quarter before closing the gap in the final quarter.

CCAB, Fri, 11 Feb, 2011 – Catholic High endured foul troubles and injuries to edge out the defending south zone champions Queensway Sec 46-45 in a thrilling match.

Catholic High guard Ignatius Cher (#8) was the hero of the hour as he sank two crucial free throws with less than ten seconds remaining to seal the victory for his team.
